NOSE - Subtleties of golden delicious apple, shimmy shimmy lime, spring blossom and a faint haunting of almond.
PALATE - Delicate pear with fine white pepper and an appearance from the lemon and lime sisters. Dill and leggy green beans also walk the boards. A light to medium bodied dry wine, pale yellow in colour with high acidity.
NOTES - It’s savoury. It’s spicy. It’s textured….It’s different! A signature grape of Austria pronounced grew-ner felt-lee-ner, this varietal is fast becoming Australia's most rip-roaring new drop. Although considered similar to Sauvignon Blanc and is high in acid it differs greatly especially in the mouth feel department. It’s also not as aromatic. Gruner is your friend when it comes to food and soon to be your hot favourite paired with asian flavours and the oh-so tricky to match vegetarian dishes of artichoke and asparagus. So worth going out of your comfort zone to try this and even introducing it to your most loved chums.
