"Yellow gold in hue but there are flecks of green here. The nose has that wonderful lemon butter on toast note we see in more developed Rieslings of quality. There is bright citrus and even a touch of honeycomb on the finish. This, though, is still fresh and elegant, even while it exhibits some development. Good focus and length, while the intensity remains evident for the full journey. This very fine Riesling surely has a decade ahead of it." 94 points - Wine Pilot.
NOSE - An uplifting stone fruit medley of white nectarine and white peach, floral wafts of honeysuckle floating on the breeze carrying toast and summer hay.
PALATE - This is a dry light to medium bodied white, high in acids with good length. Chin-dripping juicy lemon dominates with simple fruits of white nectarine, white peach and green apple. Minerality shows off with a sashay on the finish.
NOTES - A refreshing number essential for summer sipping. Although we all agreed this is a dry white there's a tiny hint of sweetness that plays cheekily on the palate. Typical of a cooler climate white, this riesling has jumping acid that is well balanced against the fruit and minerality. A thirst quenching drop that is invigorating and energising. Perfect for that BYO occasion or an afternoon in the shade on a warm sunny day.
